Please know that the analysis of these tracings to follow is brief. It is not intended to be an in-depth discussion of these tracings or the clinical presentations. The fundamental challenge is to state that:
yes — this tracing is a STEMI or
no — this tracing does not represent a STEMI
As always, the provider must carefully take into consideration, each patient’s clinical presentation, history, old ECG (when available), serial labs, old medical records and consultation (when appropriate) with PCP and/or cardiology provider/team before proceeding with a treatment plan.
