·  Severe edema with limited range of motion.

·  Presence of posterior fat pad sign.

·  Presence of anterior fat pad “spinnaker sail” sign.

·  The fat pad sign is especially useful in the pediatric X-Ray

·  Typically a posterior fat pad sign might indicate the following occult fracture :
1……In adults———– radial head fracture.
2……In children——– supracondylar fracture of the humerus
