This online course will be presented in the form of 10 Modules and will follow the format and content of my
” Radiographs Field Guide “. As you progress, you will be assigned reading material from the Field Guide. At the end of each Module you will be given a series of homework quizzes. These will be in the form of multiple choice questions and will be graded immediately online. The course is designed to not allow you to skip ahead and your performance score must be at least 75 % –otherwise you must retake the quizzes until a passing score is achieved. I have purposely striven to limit the text material for the sake of efficiency and have relied on Illustrations, one-liners, PEARLS and color-coded, labeled X-Rays. When appropriate, I will address clinical issues such as disposition, treatment and specialty consultation.
Finally, you will be given a Final Examination consisting of 50 questions– fill-in -the-blank matching and X-Ray matching. It is not my intent to present a comprehensive course in Radiography, but simply to cover the highlights of common X-Ray images you will encounter in your practice………
All the X-Rays presented in this course are taken from my patient population of 35+ years practicing emergency medicine.
