Typical clinical findings–Ipsilateral leg shortened and ankle-foot externally rotated with limited range of motion of hip and inability to bear weight. ·  Blood supply to femoral head is usually disrupted and ultimately leading to avascular necrosis. · 
Common treatment consists of open reduction with internal fixation usually requires replacement of femoral head with prosthesis ( hemiarthroplasty ).
