To begin the course, scroll to the bottom of this page and click on the link “Rhythms: The Heart Icon and Field Guide Reference.”
Once the dot to the left of each topic becomes green you will know you have successfully completed each topic. At this point you should scroll to the bottom of this page and “Mark Complete” to move to Module 2.
Hardware/Software Requirements: High speed connection to the Internet. Browser: the most current version of Microsoft Internet Explorer, Chrome, Safari or Mozilla Firefox. The ability to access and view Adobe pdf documents, Adobe Reader is recommended. Printer access recommended to print completion certificate.
Video/Audio format: All 26 ECG Rhythm animations are now in MP4 format with optional supplemental audio files. The videos may be viewed full screen or within the online slide. The resolution may be adjusted by clicking the gear icon at the bottom right corner of the viewing box.
Format: The teaching method for this program will consist of 6 total modules that contain 26 rhythm patterns with a quiz following each module. A score of 75% is required to continue to the next module. The course includes written materials to assist in the acquisition of knowledge. Participants will use what they have learned from the course to complete a follow-up evaluation and final exam to assess new knowledge acquisition. Participants must answer 40 out of 50 questions correctly to pass this course. The program should take approximately 9 hours to complete.
